4 months!

Wow, I can' believe that 4 months have come and gone! It is so amazing to think that 4 months ago we were eagerly anticipating your arrival, and now we can not remember life without you! It seems to go so fast, there is no way you are already 4 months, you have been growing so much it seems like just yesterday you were a "sleepy newborn." Now you are all about the action. You have grown so much just in the last month! It is incredible all the skills you are developing, and what a big boy you are becoming.

4 Month Facts

You are still wearing 3-6 month or 6 month clothes but we are starting to work in some of the 9 month ones as well!

You are between a size 2 and 3 diaper, which change from swaddlers and snugglers to movers and cruisers, WHAT moving and cruising!

You still eat 5 times a day, 3 with mommy and 2 breast milk bottles at daycare, however you are now taking closer to 7 ounces in each bottle, up from 6

You are NOT sleeping in your Woombie anymore, I was worried about the transition but you didn't skip a beat and love that you can get to your hands!

You can roll over! When it is convenient for you ;)

You do not want to miss a thing, which means you are not napping so great at daycare

Had a rough week at daycare after getting to stay home with mommy during "snowmageddon"

You bat and grab at toys and are showing more interest in EVERYTHING

You always have a wet shirt from droll and sucking on your hands and thumb!

Sometimes you wake up in the middle of the night and fuss for a few minutes but are able to put yourself back to sleep

You Love

To be the center of attention

To talk, like your momma and GiGi

To be tickled, it is so cute, right before bath time when we take off your shirt we tickle your chest, neck and under your arms and you just laugh and squeal and giggle and scrunch up with your HUGE smile, you have gotten to the point that you start to giggle before your shirt is even off :)

Bathtime, and you have figured out that you can suck on the rag

To put anything you can in your mouth, the more things things the better and if you have something in there and can't get your hands in there too you get frustrated

Tummy time, you no longer fuss as soon as we put you on your tummy!

Books, you have started bating at them when we read to you

Toys, good thing you have lots of choices

Mommy, and Daddy you smile so big when you see us which is such an amazing feeling

To miss a nap, but it is hard to nap when you want don't want to miss anything

4 Month Well Visit

Your appointment went well, Dr. Mcgehee suggested we see a physical therapist to check your neck tension since you are obsessed with turning your head left and now have a crooked head. We have "permission" to play with solid foods, but we are not in any hurry and will probably wait a little longer. We talked about your fussiness at daycare(after all the snow days) and he said separation anxiety is a sign that children show closer to 6 months and to take it as a compliment and a sign of intelligence ;) He is happy with your growth and development and we will go back at 6 months! You had to get 2 shots and drink the third poor thing you were happy until the shots, you screamed and as soon as I picked you up it turned to a whimper then to a quivering lip. I nursed you and you were ready for the rest of the day, such a trooper!

You are such a great baby and we love you so much!
